Family Social – Let's Go Fishing

EVENT DETAILS

This free DEEP "fishing field trip" is an opportunity to show up and fish with DEEP certified fishing instructors (about 10). They will provide fishing equipment, bait and instruction. If you have your own equipment, please bring. "Fishing field trip" participants under the age of 16 must have a parent/guardian present.

NOTES

This event is sponsored by DEEP (Department of Energy and Environmental Protection) through the Fisheries Division's CARE program (CARE: Connecticut Aquatic Resources Education).

WHEN

Saturday, May 8 2:00-6:00pm (don't need to stay the entire time)

WHERE

Mohegan Park Pond, Norwich, CT (about 35 minutes)

COST

Free for youth under 16 and adult(s) assisting child; Participants who would like to fish (ages 16 and up) must have a valid CT fishing license. 

REGISTER

Everyone attending needs to create a Conservation ID, which is free to create. Scroll down to "New Customer". Once the account is created you can then "Register Now" (orange button) for the event. Note: The same email address can be used for everyone. Once Conservation ID is created you do not need to go to "NEXT" as that is for purchasing a sportsman license. You can just "CANCEL" as your account has been created.
